Speaker: John Torgan, Director, The Nature Conservancy

A native Rhode Islander, John Torgan is the State Director of The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island a role he has held since 2011. Prior to coming to The Nature Conservancy, John worked for 18 years for Save The Bay.

John will speak on the current state of conservation in Rhode Island, highlighting issues of interest to the Barrington Garden Club including local restoration projects, the importance of green gardening, coastal flooding and erosion and its impact on gardens, and much more.
