What We Do

Our Mission - Connecting to Community

Welcome to the Barrington Garden Club (BGC) website! This site will help you better understand who we are and what we do and we certainly hope that after you review the site we have piqued your interest and you will explore how to become a member. The BGC was established in 1931 and is still going strong today. We accomplish our mission by participating in community activities, managing and caring for town gardens, organizing monthly education sessions and trips, working with the next generation of gardeners at the middle school in our Hampden Meadows Youth Group and much more. Membership in the club is open to ALL individuals who have an interest in conservation, the environment, gardening and floral design. You don’t have to be an actual gardener and you don’t even have to have a garden… you just need to have an interest and willingness to learn and participate. Joining BGC is also a great way to meet new people and develop new friendships.  Please contact us at any time. We would love to talk with you.

“There is so much more to it than I would have guessed. It's not your mother's garden club. The lecture at the last meeting (my first meeting ) by a local organic flower grower was great.”
